Discovering God
Instructor: Keith French

If you’re new to Christianity and still unsure of some of our core beliefs, or even if you’ve been a believer awhile but are looking for a refresher, this class is for you.  Having a relationship with God isn’t hard to understand, but there are some valuable basics that help you start on the right foot.

Discovering God has two goals, to help people understand some of the core beliefs of Christianity, such as:

Who is God? What is sin? Who is Jesus and what did He do for me? Who is the Holy Spirit? What is eternal life?

…and to guide people who are new to the faith in some of the most essential practices of growing in your relationship with God, such as:

How do I have daily devotional time? How should I pray? How can I share my faith with others? How can I discover and use my spiritual gifts? How do I grow in Christ-likeness?

Sitting at the Master's Feet
Instructor: Pastor Mike Gates, Pastor Tom Yerman, Josh Steely

Christianity is all about having a relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.  But how do we know Christ?  The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) were written so that we could come to know our savior, and so draw closer to Him.  In the Gospel of John we find a compelling portrait of the person of Jesus Christ.  This closeness has the power to transform our lives and the way we view our work, relationships and goals.  As we read John we put ourselves at the Master’s feet to submit to His way of doing life.

In this course you will come to a better understanding of the Gospel of John as we study it together.  But more than that, we will open ourselves to the Holy Spirit to draw us closer to Christ, and in His words and deeds discover:

The key to Christian humility. What we can learn from Jesus’ miracles. What living is really about. The nature of true faith. Why Jesus died. What the resurrection means for us.

These lessons and many others were written for us by John, one of Jesus’ closest disciples.  What an amazing privilege we have to read His witness to Jesus’ life, to be carried back and sit at our Master’s feet.
