Pastor Mike, our staff and leaders have selected, Hope Grows, as a fitting title for our capital stewardship campaign. No more appropriate title could have been selected, because as we have placed our hope in God, he has continued to bless our ministry and caused our church to grow. Together, we will organize for this endeavor, commit financial resources, and watch our influence for God grow in this community.

The greatest need in the early childhood department, and the children's ministry as a whole is to have all of the ministries together. By having all departments in the same building, we will be able to offer greater security for parents. My personal desire is to have a more efficient check-in area for both nursery and preschool. Our teachers need sinks and bathrooms in the classrooms to better facilitate their lessons. Our new facilities will enhance the learning of God's word that is already taking place. Pastor Susan

I have the best job at the church! I have the opportunity to reach those who are the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven – children! The greatest evangelical window currently available is among young children. Research is very clear: if Jesus is not already a part of their lives by the time they leave junior high school, the chances of their accepting Him as their Lord and Savior are very slim (6%, to be exact). Because of the challenges and insecurities children face in life today, they are very open to being a part of a community of like-minded people who grow together. Children have a tremendous influence on their families and on the choices they make in all areas of life.

It has been said that the best way to evaluate the effectiveness of a church is to observe how welcoming they are towards children. It has been my dream to provide a fun place for kids where each one can just be a kid and learn of God’s love for them at the same time! The new building is going to be a welcoming place where kids will be excited to come and bring their friends. An animated Kidz Church set with theater seating, classrooms that cater to different age levels and their needs, a teacher resource center, indoor playground and high level security system are part of our plans. It has been exciting to see new families become a part of Living Hope Church through our Vacation Bible School and Slime Time programs. Our team wants to grow the church through ‘children’, and this project will give us an even greater opportunity to do so! Pastor Kal

While the primary purpose of our Capital Campaign is to improve our ability to minister to children, there are also some secondary benefits.

We will be able to improve the office space that we have for our pastoral and support staff. We will be able to open up our lobby area and improve our information services area. As all of you know our lobby and entrance area are extremely congested before, after and between our Sunday morning worship services. We must all remember that it is not just about a bigger building or better facility, but about improving our ability to serve in our Lord’s Kingdom. The building is just another tool in our ministry to our community and to each other. Service to Him must be the focus of all we do. Hope Grows and so does the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John Powers
